Information about the area
The Weather
The Alicante region has an excellent climate and Costa Blanca is recognised by the World Health Organisation as one of
the healthiest places to live on earth.
Gran Alacant
The Gran Alacant resort is growing, new shops and restaurants are opening regularly. Whether you are looking for
a summer holiday or winter break you will find the perfect getaway in Gran Alacant. Gran Alacant is an urbanisation of Santa Pola, a typical Spanish town located about 3km away.
It has one of the largest fishing fleets in the Mediterranean and during the Roman era served as a sea port to the city of
Elche, which is located further inland. The town has beaches, a marina, plenty of shops, tapas bars and restaurants
complete with a fort in it's centre. During September the world wind-surfing championships are held on one of the
towns beaches.

The resort has shops, restaurants and banks within easy walking distance. Our community has its own pool
complex set in beautiful gardens, complete with adjacent sports facilities consisting of a ball court for tennis, basketball
and football, you will also find boules pits and a toddler play area. Both are located at the bottom of the street
from the house and access is by key. It is for the exclusive use of villa owners and of course, our guests.
During the peak season the pool has life and security guards and therefore closed between 2 and 4pm for siesta.
Generally the pool is open throughout the day all year round.
